So, like any resourceful future gamer, I found sanctuary at friends’ houses, button-mashing my way through consoles until I discovered the holy grail: PC gaming.

Fast forward to adulthood. I tried to "grow up," quit video games, and do “adult” things like taxes and pretending to enjoy salads. Spoiler alert: I failed. Not only did I stay a gamer, but I leveled up and married one—a streamer, no less. Together, we embraced our shared destiny and created Game Over Gear, a love letter to our pixelated past and a battle cry for every gamer who refuses to “act their age.”
